The purpose of this site is to put together an entire academic school years plan for delivery of a general music curriculum.  This site will take you from September to June and will help you to meet the GLE’s for grades K-5.

· “Regular Lesson Plans” are a year’s worth of lesson plans designed to meet the GLE’s. This page links you to the lesson plans of Mr. Sayan for Rock Creek Elementary School, Tahoma School District, Maple Valley, WA. There you will see a calendar for all nine school year months.  Once you click on the week the site will take you to a set of lesson plans for that week.  Links to information that you might need will be there.  Anyone is welcome to use these plans in the instruction of music education.

· “For Subs” are a set of lesson plans that substitute or guest teachers may use, especially in an emergency where the teacher’s sub-plans are not available.  This sometimes happens when teachers are ill.  These plans will guide you through the lessons you need to make for a successful day.

· “External Plans”, are links to other sites that have various music plans and resources that are for use by teachers and Guest Teachers.  You will have to read through them to verify that what is being taught is in the scope of the curriculum.

· “Helpful Folks” is a list of personnel  who would be of great help at the school site listed in that section.  This would include the office secretary, principal, dean of students, and helpful teachers that you could get a hold of in case you need help.

· “Contact Us” is intended for the guest teacher to contact the regular teacher for asking questions about the lessons, and for anyone else interested in this site.
